| Light & Life School Activities
Light & Life School plans field trips and activities for the children similar to schools in the US. There are field trips for nature education and band practice. (Click to see Independence Day Parade photos) The parents are great helpers and appreciate the opportunities their children. Light & Life is a well rounded school with music, sports, science, language arts, and math. It is preparing them for the real world outside their Ixil culture while still maintaining the integrity of and respect for their Ixil culture and their Nebaj/ Ixil native language. Most important, their Christian teachers and curriculum help them understand the Bible and how to be a Christian in all cultures. Here are some photos of their field trips. Click to enlarge photos.
