Mission Statement
To serve my Lord at all times, specifically through helping spread the Gospel to the Nebaj Ixil people by supporting the translation of the New Testament into Nebaj Ixil; to enable and empower Nebaj Ixil people to truly understand the Bible, evangelize, and exercise their God-given gifts through the promotion of literacy, video, music, Bible studies and training, and bilingual education

The fall (2007) 99% of my time was spent in editing and proofreading the Nebaj Ixil New Testament along with eight Ixil colleagues. Our goal was to have the typesetting done by November. I didn't expect to be doing this, and I'd appreciated your prayers. We needed the Holy Spirit to direct us to the most important places where clarification is difficult. An example was there seemed to be some confusion in understanding the term used for the "Son of God." Some people understand the word used to mean, the "stepson of God." The difference is a one-letter suffix! In another place the words were, "Jesus teaches how to put up with our enemies." We all grew in this process, and it was wonderful to hear one of my colleagues or myself say, "Oh! I never quite realized it was that way!" Everyone in the office will have read the entire New Testament. The translation was completed in December 2007. June 10. 2008 the Nebaj Ixil New Testaments arrived in Nebaj . The Dedication will be August 12th.

MY PRAYER BURDEN is that those whom God has chosen among the Ixil people come to know Him and truly understand His Word and commission.

That I might be a light pointing toward Jesus, showing my frustrations and humanity, but resolving them in a scriptural manner.
- That my personal spiritual growth will improve.

That the New Testament in Ixil will be completed soon and will "speak" to and be used by Ixil people.
- That projects initiated will be sustainable.
- That specific individuals will grow in their relationships with the Lord and follow His will.
